5 day smoothie challenge – Day 2
Today’s recipe is packed with healthy goodness. Coconut water was chosen as the liquid because it is considered to be a natural sport drink. Coconut milk contains the electrolytes calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium and potassium in their natural form.
Mango is an antioxidant that helps clear skin problems. It is also said to promote eye health, alkalize the body, increase libido and calm emotions. The tasty fruit is also low on the glycemic index.
Spinach is a super food that is high in minerals, antioxidants and vitamins. Organic spinach is always best as it receives the healthy nutrients from the live soil.
Cucumber is another vegetable that promotes eye and skin health. It is full of antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. Adding cucumber to salads or smoothies is also an excellent way to keep hydrated!
1/2 field cucumber
1 cup frozen mango
1/2 cup spinach leaves
1 cup coconut water
